What if the Edmonton Oilers reunited Kirby Dach with his brother, Colton?
In this proposed trade, Edmonton would acquire Kirby Dach from the Montreal Canadiens in exchange for Isaac Howard, a fifth-round pick and defenceman Spencer Stastney.
Dach, who has battled injuries throughout his career, would give the Oilers another big, skilled forward who could benefit from playing in a strong offensive system. The added storyline of playing alongside his brother Colton would make the move even more interesting.
For Montreal, the return would be highlighted by Howard, the 2025 Hobey Baker Award winner, who brings plenty of offensive upside and could become an important part of the Canadiens’ future.
It’s a deal that would give both teams an intriguing mix of immediate help and future potential.
