The Oilers opened the season with a loss to the Canucks, and the pressure is already starting to build around Tristan Jarry.
Jarry didn’t exactly give Edmonton fans much to feel confident about, and after a shaky opening game, the questions surrounding the goaltending situation are going to get louder.
It’s only Game 1, so there’s no reason to panic yet. But Edmonton has Stanley Cup expectations, and they can’t afford to spend the season wondering whether their goaltender can be trusted when the games matter most.
One bad game doesn’t define Jarry — but he’s going to need to bounce back quickly.
